Kwik Model 3D (KM3D), built by Coded Energy, brings true 3D modeling to residential HVAC design without requiring AutoCAD or Revit skills. Designed by veteran HVAC engineer Russ King, the software lets users quickly create a three-dimensional model of a home from a 2D floor plan, an imported image, or a Cubi.Casa LiDAR phone scan.
Two editions target different workflows. KM3D Eagle combines 3D modeling, Manual J load calculations, Manual S equipment selection, and Manual D duct design. KM3D Kestrel is a draw-only version that imports room-by-room load results from other software.
The software's sweet spot is residential HVAC retrofits and new construction where visualizing ductwork catches collisions and sizing issues before installation.
